In-home care is a great way to keep your senior in the comfort of their own home. We make it easier to care for your aging loved one by offering specialized services that are catered for each client and their family.

Companion Care

If your senior loved one does not need any specialized type of care, companion care may be best for them. With companion care, we will provide companionship and simple caregiving. This may include running errands, cooking, light housekeeping, and doing laundry. We can pick up medications, do grocery shopping, and just provide companionship and someone to talk to. We can remind the person to take their medications, help them keep the home picked up and clean, and generally be there if they need assistance.

Personal Care

Personal care includes all the activities of companion care, with the addition of help with personal tasks like bathing, getting dressed, and toileting. These are called Activities of Daily Living, or ADL’s. We can also help them with getting around and transferring from wheelchair to bed, for example. If your loved one is disabled or too sick to be able to do these things unassisted, then personal care would be right for them.

Respite Care

Respite care is care that is given when the primary caregiver needs a break or needs to be away for a while. If you or someone in your family is the primary caregiver for your loved one, we can be there to take over if you need to go to an appointment or travel out of town.

While giving respite care, we can provide the same kinds of help as with companion care or personal care. This includes help around the house as well as running errands or shopping. We can help with ADL’s such as grooming, bathing, and toileting assistance as well.

Specialized Care

If your loved one has Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, we can provide specialized care for those conditions. Our specially trained staff members understand these conditions and will give whatever help is needed to make your loved one comfortable. This includes consulting with their doctor and following his or her instructions. We provide household help, companionship, and help with activities of daily living (ADL’s). Also, we will provide help in managing your senior’s anxiety, confusion, and wandering.

Supervision of Care

Your caregiver will be assigned a Care Manager to oversee the care of your loved one. The caregiver will fill out a daily journal to record the care that is given. This journal can be viewed by the family at any time. In addition, the Care Manager will review the journal from time to time to make sure that proper care is being given.

We have a stringent hiring process to make sure our caregivers are professionals and know how to give quality care. The purpose of the Care Manager is to give an additional level of quality assurance, to make sure that everything is going smoothly, and to communicate with the senior and the family and address any concerns they may have.

Bonded and Insured

All our caregivers are bonded and insured. This is something that you should require of anyone who cares for your family member. You have a right to see the certificates of liability to prove that they are bonded and insured and what the financial coverage is. Bonding and insurance are important just in case something goes wrong. They will provide financial coverage to remedy a problem.
